New Life for an Oldie but Goodie...
PACIFIC YACHTING MAGAZINE FINDS RENEWED LIFE AS PART OF A NEW, GROWING CONGLOMERATE OF BOATING-SECTOR TITLES
There is good news about Pacific Yachting magazine, which signals there is a future for this grand old boating-sector publication.
The following press release from Jill Snider brings to mind my memories of ten years as a Contributing Technical Editor and author of "The Backyard Builder" monthly column for Pacific Yachting and its sister publication, Canadian Yachting, in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
Yes, Virginia, those were the days when boating and yachting editorial was respected as more than just an alternate form of marine-sector marketing and advertising. Which is a rant for another day. Stay tuned, friends and readers.
In the meantime, best wishes for future success to all involved in the current conglomeration of OP and other Canadian titles, from all of us at For Yacht Builders, Buyers, and Owners (FYBBO).

I am super-excited to be spending time with my family and a return to Georgian College for Digital Content Creation & Strategy in September while also stepping into an Account Manager (Independent Sales) role with OP Media.
The past 7 years with Kerrwil have been an amazing run. John Kerr has provided invaluable mentorship, leadership and friendship for which I am incredibly grateful. Owen Hurst has been an outstanding partner in operating Kerrwil and I wish him all the best as President of KML going forward. I am so grateful for my Team at Kerrwil and the work that we did together, but most importantly the close friendships I have made with them. I look forward to working with them and our new colleagues at OP Media.
For the KML Boating brands moving to OP Media, this means growth in audience and content in print and digital across Canada. An exciting time for these legacy boating brands as a new era begins in Canada.
I look forward to connecting to my industry friends soon.
Jill”
